private health care eligibility

All employees are eligible to participate in the Dermalogica health plan following a successful probationary period. Private Health cover is solely for employees. Should you wish to have cover for your spouse or children, you would need to apply independently. Our cover is provided by AXA PP and Medicash. Eligible employees are effective on the 1st of the month following completion of a successful probationary period. (See Human Resources for details.)

life assurance

All employees are eligible to participate in the Dermalogica Life Assurance plan following a successful probationary period. (See Human Resources for details.)

pension scheme

All employees will benefit from a monthly Company Pension Contribution of 5% if you are eligible for enrollment into the scheme, in return employees are asked to contribute 3%. (See Human Resources for more details.)

paid maternity/paternity leave

Eligible and qualifying employees will be entitled Statutory Maternity/Paternity Pay in addition, Dermalogica provide an Enhanced Maternity Pay Scheme to those with over 3 years' service as follows:

• For weeks 1-12 of your maternity leave, you will receive statutory maternity pay 'topped up' with occupational pay to meet a combined amount of normal rate of basic pay.
• For weeks 13-24 of your maternity leave, you will receive statutory maternity pay 'topped up' with occupational pay to meet a combined amount of half your normal rate of basic pay.

• For the following 15 weeks and thereafter, you will be eligible for Statutory Maternity Pay in line with statutory guidelines and rates.

• Please discuss further with Human Resources as conditions apply.

paid annual leave

Annual leave is accrued on a monthly basis. (See Human Resources for details.)

bank holidays

Dermalogica observes most major Bank Holidays:

• UK: 8 Bank Holidays annually (pro-rata)
• Scotland: 9 Bank Holidays annually (pro-rata)
• Ireland: 9 Bank Holidays annually (pro-rata)

sick pay

Dermalogica believes in providing assistance to employees when they are temporarily absent from work due to personal illness and/or injury. Sick pay entitlement is 5 days per annum (pro-rata). Please refer to the handbook for more details, following this, Statutory Sick Pay applies.

employee assistance program (EAP) & Mental Health First Aiders

Dermalogica employees are provided with a free and confidential EAP plan where they can obtain phone and in-person assistance with issues such as wellness services, emotional well-being or resource referrals for children or elder care, etc. We also have a number of trained Mental Health First Aiders to ensure all staff receive any support and guidance that is required.

monthly product allowance

All employees are provided with an excellent benefit - Employee product allocations. This monthly Dermalogica product allowance of £70.00 per month is calculated at wholesale price versus retail price. Allowance covers only the Dermalogica product line.

product & service discounts on unilever prestige brands

Each UK and Ireland employee will receive a 30% product discount on the following Unilever Prestige brands: Murad and REN.
