MediBac Clearing® controls acne without compromising skin’s integrity, which means skin is clearer and healthier.

Made my skin worse!!!

By

from Houston, TX

Comments about clearing skin wash:

I started breaking out really bad so i tried this product hoping it would work for me. It made my skin even worse and also gave me cysts acne all over my face. Now when i go out i have to wear makeup to cover up the acne because it is so awful. I wouldn't recommend.

Amazing!

By

from Erie, PA

Comments about clearing skin wash:

I was using the Dermalogica Clay Cleanser and really liked it. I was running low so I ordered a new bottle. When it arrived I realized that I had accidentally ordered the Clearing Skin Wash. I decided to go ahead and keep it since it said it helps with adult acne, which I have. I have only been using it twice daily for four days and it has been amazing. Most of my acne has cleared up and my oiliness has decreased substantially. I am so happy that I decided to keep it.

Works like a dream

By

from pennsylvania

Comments about clearing skin wash:

Skin type is naturally dry, sensitive & acne prone mostly around the mouth and bottom of cheeks. I borrowed some pumps from my sister to test out for a couple days, and it didn't take long at all for my pimples to diminish an heal. I've tried products like Lush's Fresh Farmacy (mostly made up of calamine for its natural healing qualities) but nothing has ever worked for me like this. My face looks clear, doesn't have redness after washing and it's SO soft even if I don't moisturize. It suds up nicely but minimally plus you only need a dime-sizes amount. I've had the 8.4 oz for well over 3 months now with a lot left after using it just about every day. So happy with everything.

Comments about clearing skin wash:

I've been having big cystic acnes for about a year then I decided to go all out and got this, my skin seems to react very well as it keeps the skin in control and haven't seen any more acnes since. Took me about 2 months to notice the difference

Good wash

Comments about clearing skin wash:

It's a great cleanser. I love the gentleness and that it gets rid of makeup and everything all in one. It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. I have tried more affordable cleansers that have been just as effective. Therefore, I'm not sure if I'll purchase again.

Great... but smells awful!

By

from Minneapolis

Comments about clearing skin wash:

I got the smaller bottle of the skin clearing cleanser to try and I really like it and want to keep using it... but the smell is awful. It smells like a musty couch. Other people have said it smells good, so maybe I got a bad bottle. Hopefully I get used to it.

A life saver

By

from Maine

Comments about clearing skin wash:

I've been using this for a little over a month now, and it is the first thing to truly help clear my skin. I have a ways to go to be "100%" but the drastic reduction in break outs has been life changing so far. It has stopped my cystic break outs almost completely. I can count on one hand the number of new break outs I've had in the past 30 days, that is unheard of for me. The best part that I LOVE about this line is, it doesn't dry my skin out!! That is also a first. I will continue to buy this wash and the other medibac line.

  • Q:

Hi, I was hoping to get some help deciding whether or not this product is right for me as well as a suggested daily regime for my skin type.

I'm 23 years old and fair skinned. I get occassional pimples (one or two) on my forehead and chin. Recently, however, I've noticed a lot of congestion on my chin/around the corners of my mouth - a bunch of whiteheads and some blackheads which are definitely visible and making the area turn red. I also have quite a bit of blackheads on my nose (always have) but I'm not as concerned about this as I am the area around my mouth. I have some tiny flesh colored bumps on my forehead but it looks pretty clear for the most part. I wouldn't say I have a "full face of acne" but I've always heard that people who suffer from congested pores should use a product daily containing salicylic acid.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

      Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. Clearing Skin Wash is for a full face of acne. It is important to be patient and persistent with acne products. It can take time to manage acne. Additionally, there are so many internal and external contributing factors that must be addressed. Finally, it is normal to purge in the beginning. Be sure to follow with a spot treatment and light weight, oil-free moisturizer.

      Kind Regards,
      Bernadette

Will the oils in this product clog pores?

Would clear start hydrating lotion be a good match with this cleanser?

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. If you are an adult with a full face of acne, you may prefer Clearing Skin Wash, Multi Active Toner and Oil Free Matte SPF 30 (AM) or Oil Control Lotion (PM).

  • Q:

DOES THE PRODUCT PRODUCE A RICH LATTER? LOOKING FOR A PRODUCT THAT LATTERS ALOT WITH ALOT OF FOAM?

    DOES THE PRODUCT CAUSE PURGING?
SINCE I INCLUDES TWO ACIDS: SALICYC AND LACTIC

AND PRODUCT IS NOT LABELED NONCOMEDEGENIC, I ASSUME BECAUSE IT INCLUDES OIL. ACNE PRODUCTS ARE USUALLY OIL FREE.
Asked on 8/15/2017 by LATOYA from NEW YORK

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

      Hello Latoya,

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. Clearing Skin Wash is designed for a full face of acne. If you have a full face of acne, Clearing Skin Wash is ideal. If you have sporadic breakouts, Special Cleansing Gel with a spot treatment like Breakout Control is best.

It contains tea tree oil, for its antimicrobial properties. Tea tree oil is fantastic for acne prone skin. We do not use phrasing like noncomedogenic because what may cause your skin to breakout can be different from what causes someone else to breakout. We do our best to keep out ingredients that will irritate the skin, clog pores, etc.

This cleanser does exfoliate with Salicylic Acid and Lactic acid. Acne skin tends to require more exfoliation to combat the buildup in the pores. Purging is normal for certain skin types but is temporary.

To use, simply use the size of a pea with lots of water so that the product may foam.

      Kind Regards,
      Bernadette

I was wondering if this product cause purging and how long it lasts before it starts to improve? because I have been breaking out more where I usually break out and was wondering if my skin is probably purging

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

      Hi Paige,

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. Clearing Skin Wash is for a full face of acne. That being said, if you have a full face of acne and are using Clearing Skin Wash and your face is purging, this is normal. Please allow a couple of weeks for your skin to adapt to the potent sophistication of the formula.

If you only have mild, sporadic breakouts, Special Cleansing Gel is ideal. If you have a full face of oil (and not much acne), Dermal Clay Cleanser is best.

      Kind Regards,
      Bernadette
